Wayward Girls television series – a bold historical drama set in early 1960s Baltimore – tells the forgotten story of shamed pregnant teens banished to the “Seven Hills Maternity Home” run by a cruel administrator, a lascivious tutor and a conniving social worker, all determined to force the girls to relinquish their babies for adoption. Despite overwhelming adversity, Hope and her lively roommates survive their ordeal by sharing a love of pop music, help from an unexpected British ally and some Voodoo protection. Together they strive to maintain their girlhood and have some daring adventures along the way.
